Capturing wonderful images of happy memories, celebrations & amazing times is honestly reward enough for what I do. I love catching those secret, knowing glances, laughter amongst friends & those tears of joy throughout the day.

My first photography awards were for quite different subjects. Way back in my youth, my landscape photography won several first & second places in the Scottish National School Focus Photography Competition. Years later, winning awards still doesn't feel!

Reading the responses from my couples just after I've delivered their wedding gallery is so humbling, and I love hearing about which images are their favourite. But every so often, it's nice to have that external recognition and I'm very proud of my achievements in the industry.

I've only recently begun submitting my work for consideration into local & national wedding industry awards - taking those first few tentative steps has been a scary, but amazing journey so far. I take pride in every part of what I do - to my transparent booking system, marketing, dedication to couples and of course delivering the best galleries I can - and for that to be formally recognised is simply awesome and inspires me to keep giving my all.

What an amazing start to 2023! To be named one of the best photographers in Edinburgh & Lothian by Hitched is such an honour. Hitched are such a high profile worldwide wedding directory and it's amazing that every year they go to such lengths to recognise the best suppliers all over the UK. Bridebook is one of the UK's leading wedding directories, so when I won their national photography competition I was actually shaking. What an absolute honour - not just to win, but up against so many other amazing photographers who captured so many wonderful moments of tears, laughter and excitement. When news came in about the other two categories I'd been shortlisted for, I was just in disbelief!

The Weddings Inc Wedding Awards brings together business within the wedding industry, across the UK. To win this award is truly humbling. It took me over a day for this award win to sink in, and I'm not quite sure it fully has yet! To be recognised across Scotland for my work and my business is both bizarre and brilliant!
